The winners of the Photo Competition jointly hosted by Sedibeng District Municipality and Mooivaal Media were awarded during the closing Women's Month function on the 28 August 2010.
The competition ran for 3 weeks during the FIFA World Cup™ tournament and enjoyed a large number of entries. Readers of the Vaal Weekly newspaper voted for their favourite FIFA World Cup™ photos by SMS.
The winner of the 1st prize, Antoinette Groenewald, walked away with a Laptop computer sponsored by Diamond Corner in Vereeniging. The 2nd prize, digital camera, was awarded to Dimakatso Xaba and was also sponsored by Diamond Corner. Sedgars in Vereeniging sponsored the 3rd prize of of Bafana Bafana jacket to Tshego Tabane who finished in 3rd place.
