Sedibeng Women's Month closes in celebration 1 Sep 2010


Ntando entertains the ladies at the closing event of the Women's Month programme

  The Sedibeng District Municipality celebrated the last leg of its Women’s Month programme with an auspicious event. On the 28th August, women from all walks of life in the Vaal region gathered at the luxurious Riverside Hotel to commemorate Women and to celebrate their strength and pride.

The guests were treated to an array of inspiring performances from musicians such as Tshepiso, Teboho and Ntando. The Speaker of Sedibeng District Municipality Cllr. Kedibone Mogotsi also invited female motivational speakers to inspire our women with their life experiences.  Gladys Mvundlela encouraged women to come out and speak against abusive relationship.

The event also featured a raffle competition in which several guests won prizes, and a competition for woman older than 50 years which incorporated the history of Sedibeng into the event, saw Rosaline Pule receive a R1000 fashion voucher as the winner.

The Sedibeng District Municipality greatly enjoyed spending this month with women of the Vaal and as all Sedibeng District Municipality’s programmes, this one was no less than a success.
