The facility includes four spacious cold storage rooms designed to maintain a controlled temperature for preserving various perishable goods. Additionally, there are eight specialized rooms dedicated to ripening bananas under optimal conditions. For smaller-scale storage needs, there are three compact cold rooms available, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in temperature management for different types of produce.

  3. Visit Vereeniging Market, particularly the trading halls, meet the salesperson and familiarise yourself with the Vereeniging Market’s operations and procedures
  4. Exchange contact details with the Salesperson, including your name, trading name of the farm, ID number, contact details and banking details
  5. Obtain a threefold delivery note book with serial numbers
  6. Make an appointment at Product control office or email our systems administrator to obtain additional information
  7. Complete and return the Producer Information form provided by officer or via email or in person, with details on which agent to link up with as the Consignment control will then register an agreement with this specific agent or agents as multiple agents can be used at any given time
  8. The Producer Code Number linked on our Freshmark System (FMS) will be provided by the systems administrator for reference on all consignments entering the market
  9. Ensure that this code is provided on all delivery notes declared to ensure traceability and reconciliation documents

  • Sunday closed during the day.
  • Open Sunday 14:00 for deliveries.

Come to the Fresh Produce Market with your ID to open a buyer’s card/account. Go to cashiers, deposit the money into the buyers card/account and start buying from agents then when you’re done buying, you go back to cashiers to withdraw the money or keep the money for buying the next day.
