The Sedibeng District Municipality is proud to introduce the Vaal 21 Passport Project, the first of its kind in the country, to the region's primary school learners.
Just as important as tourism is for a region and its residents, so is the necessity to understand and meet the needs of tourists visiting. Each citizen of the Vaal has the responsibility towards the development of tourism by playing a role in ensuring that basic tourism principles are met. This can be done by taking pride in your neighbourhoods, helping to keep your area safe and clean, being friendly and hospitable and being knowledgeable about the vast number of tourism products and experiences we are host to.
The key to success is working together in partnerships and as a team. Working together with government, the private sector and the community is one of the local tourism's greatest achievements and the Vaal 21 Passport Project is an example of this. Therefore, the Sedibeng District Municipality wishes to thank the following stakeholders for their contribution towards the Vaal 21 Passport Project:
- Gauteng Tourism Authority;
- Gauteng Department of Education (Sedibeng East and West);
- All participating venues and organisations.
You are the future of the Vaal and the new generation of local tourists.
Ask yourself each day: "What did I do to promote tourism today?"
